Three Peaks Completed

In June 2017, a team of Pentre Group staff and their friends and families completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.  The ambitious target of raising £30,000 has been exceeded and a final total of £34,606.51 has been raised for life-saving research.

Over the course of the weekend, the team conquered Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in some of the worst weather conditions encountered by the experienced guides from Atmosphere Mountaineering.

A total of 26 miles walked and more than 11,000 ft climbed with just the drive between mountains as rest time.

Katie Hesketh, Cancer Research UK’s local fundraising manager for the north west, said “We are absolutely delighted that Pentre Group decided to attempt such a great challenge, they had done lots of preparation and we can’t thank Pentre Group enough for support towards the charity.”

Everyone who took part is immensely proud and would like to thank everyone who has donated to help raise such a fantastic amount to help Cancer Research UK in the fight against cancer.
